"Engineering allows me to understand how large structures work, and to help shape the world and how we live."

Andy is an Associate at Walsh. He completed a years placement with us during his Masters degree, and then joined as a full time member of staff after graduating.

He is a skilled structural engineer, with expertise in reinforced concrete design and stability of high-rise structures. He is also a value engineering and BIM enthusiast.

Andy is a dedicated, hardworking engineer, which shows both in his work for clients and his internal roles within Walsh, including inductions of new starters and health and safety co-ordinator.

He is an avid sports player, enjoying all sports but in particular golf, tennis, football, cycling, and skiing. He brings the positive traits from this into his work, and is a dedicated team player, but also able to work on his own with little guidance. He easily develops new skills and thrives on achieving goals he is set, and those he sets himself.
