Hawley Wharf, Block A Fit Out

Enhancing structural integrity & functionality through strategic fit-out modifications

The completion of the base build for the Hawley Wharf set the stage for our team to undertake the following structural fit-out as well as a Stage 2 report. Our scope of work encompasses a range of modifications and additions aimed at optimising the functionality and efficiency of the existing structure.

We reconfigured the layout to accommodate the updated requirements, expanding the retail area significantly. Stairs were strategically incorporated to link two floors, to improve circulation. This measure was particularly significant in addressing concerns amidst the challenges posed by COVID-19 at the time.

We made alterations to basement slab depths and on the lower-ground floor adjusted stair voids and adapted the concrete structure to allow for staircase ST04 and a lift to serve this floor. Adaptations to the roof structures of Buildings A1 and A2 allowed for large plant units to be installed.

Our teamā€™s expertise enabled us to introduce new openings in PT floors, a method that is typically avoided. Riser holes were made in in post-tensioned slabs to accommodate the new services.

Acknowledging the exposed finished nature of the building, our intervention was kept minimal, preserving the architectural integrity while meeting functional demands.
