This development features a world-class heritage center and presents a unique inner-city project that includes a complex 37-storey tower block. This tower houses 412 high-tech luxury apartments, all overlooking one of the largest new public piazzas in the capital.
The project faced several challenges, including strict height restrictions and a complex construction sequence due to the necessity of triple basements. These factors required intricate temporary works, leading to the tower being constructed partially using the top-down method.
Additionally, the historical significance of the site posed multiple constraints due to its archaeological importance and the remains of The Curtain Theatre, which once hosted William Shakespeare and his acting troupe. The site will also feature a heritage center that showcases the remains of the theatre, allowing visitors to stand on the original stage.
The end result is a desirable new development near Liverpool Street station, combining historical significance with modern amenities, including shops, a performing arts pavilion, and a luxury gym, terrace, bar, and bowling alley within the tower block.
