Eric Li discusses what it means to be a structural engineer and a Fellow of IStructE

In a recent interview with IStructE, our very own Associate Director, Eric Li, discusses his engineering journey

Eric’s journey into structural engineering was inspired by a lifelong passion for sketching and an early recognition of the intersection of drawing, design, and construction.

Key milestones in his career include contributions to projects like Heathrow Terminal 5 and active involvement in the South Eastern Counties Regional Group committee.

His commitment to the profession is evident through his various roles within the IStructE, from early involvement as a Graduate Representative to the upcoming responsibility of serving as the Chair in 2020, all aimed at advancing the awareness and growth of structural engineering.

Eric is a a key cog in the Walsh team and we’re both lucky and proud to have him sharing his knowledge and inspiring the next generation of engineers with us.

“As Fellows we have the responsibility to promote the profession and the Institution, share knowledge and look after and inspire the next generation of structural engineers. “
