Celebrating International Women’s Day: Empowering Female Role Models in STEM Education

Maddie and Jacqui have been out representing Walsh and celebrating International Women’s Day at Marylebone Boys School.

As a co-educational Sixth Form this kind of outreach is vital as it allows young women to see strong female role models as they consider their academic and professional futures.

In an effort to inspire prospective A-level female students, our engineers, alongside the engaging speaker Wendy Amexo, a Data Analyst from Procter & Gamble, shared invaluable career insights and experiences. This event provided an exceptional opportunity for the girls to connect with professionals from diverse backgrounds, expanding their horizons and encouraging them to pursue careers within the field of STEM. At Walsh, we are unwavering in our commitment to fostering diversity and empowering women in this field.

International Women’s Day serves as an important reminder of the achievements of women in all spheres of life, but our dedication to this cause extends far beyond a single day. Every day, we strive to create an inclusive environment where women can thrive and excel.

Well done to the remarkable achievements of women, today and every day!
