Camden Hawley Wharf Wins RIBA National Award

Camden Hawley Wharf has won a RIBA National Award. This adds to the success of the London regional award win for the project in May.

The mixed-use scheme has turned the area into a vibrant destination that includes 8 new buildings (including two refurbishments) – compromised of residential, commercial, & office space, in addition to a new Primary School.

Our Structural and Civil Engineering design for the scheme features a 15 metre top-down constructed basement, 7m cantilevers, 20m bridges and more. The development is tightly nestled between Railway viaducts, the Regents Canal, LUL Tunnels, high pressure water mains & high voltage cables. This was possibly the most constrained site we have worked on.

We also worked on the refurbishment of the existing structure on Chalk Farm Road, as well as the award-winning Hawley Primary School which boasts impressive glulam columns as part of the superstructure.

Well done to all involved in this landmark project, which was truly a team effort.
